Dinner from the Garden: Kale and Walnut Pesto

I've never been a huge kale person, but I found myself growing quite a bit of it in our seriously ignored vegetable garden. I was sorting through some old magazines and found this recipe in a 2012 Real Simple: Pasta with Kale and Walnut Pesto. 

I can't say no to pesto and it seemed worth a try. We really liked it! I think I'll make some extra pesto and freeze it for later.

(I used parmesan instead of pecorino because I couldn't find any at my grocery store.)
