North Shore Vacation

Gooseberry Falls

Gooseberry River and Lake Superior

St. Louis River in Jay Cooke State Park, MN
Jonathan and I had the pleasure of going on a camping trip to northern Minnesota last week. We spent two nights at Gooseberry Falls State Park near Two Harbors, MN, and two nights at Jay Cooke State Park in the Duluth area.

It was a pleasant, cool week. The scenery was beautiful and the fall colors were coming in. We enjoyed wild rice burgers and pie at Betty's Pies in Two Harbors, and more wild rice burgers at Grandma's in Duluth! (They were all amazing!)

When we returned, we had family come and stay a few nights and I feel like we are still recovering from all the excitement! And that is why I have not posted anything in almost two weeks.

The weather is definitely changing here. It's cold and sometimes rainy. We even turned the heat on! We went on a bike ride today with long pants, jackets, and hats over and under our regular biking gear. It took awhile to get warmed up.
