New Table

I found this lovely gate leg table on Facebook Marketplace and it was in my budget and I had to have it. Did you know gate leg or drop leaf tables are trendy as a side table (according to me and my personal searches on Pinterest)? Did you know the reason I wanted one is that my grandparents had one as an entry table and I want to be like my grandparents? Is that normal?

This isn't my entryway. This is the back corner of the living room. And I'm probably not done styling it, but styling has not been my forte up to this point, so it's likely to stay this way for awhile. Weird plant. College sculpture. Modem. Wires. Why not.

Do you, like me, have an antique furniture wish list? I checked off "secretary" last year. It's part of my process of graduating from IKEA furniture that was all we could afford when we were first married. By looking for lower priced older used furniture, I can pay about the same but own higher quality stuff with more character.

I love the warmth this table adds to the living room!

    1. I have long had a joke about saving things for the "family museum" but I'm starting to think my house is becoming the family museum. As are yours, Steve's, Tom's, Lisa's, Mom's....
